Lunar Dance for solo Piccolo is a one-movement work, which depicts the illumination of the moon. The formal outline of the piece is A-B-C-B-A. Each section depicts different phases of the moon starting with a new moon, crescent, full, crescent and new again. Just like the different phases of the moon there is a new character in each of the sections in the piece. --Chan Ji Kim
